The Newland HR52 Bonito is a robust 2D handheld scanner developed for fast, precise scanning at the point of sale and beyond. Its megapixel imager with soft white illumination and a clear cross-shaped laser aimer reads virtually all 1D and 2D barcodes in any condition – including QR codes, Data Matrix, PDF417 and DotCode on tobacco products – while Newland's Acuscan aiming technology captures exactly the code you aim at, even among other barcodes. IP54 sealing and 1.8 m drop resistance make it ready for daily use. The HR52 Bonito comes in three variants: the Retail Edition (RT), optimised for close-range scanning at the checkout; the Logistics Edition with a longer reading range; and the Duo with a near- and far-range imager. This version, NLS-HR52-DUO-S8, is the complete corded Duo RS-232 kit with near- and far-range imager: it is supplied with an RS-232 cable and a 5 V power supply – everything needed for a serial connection.
