The Zebra MS954 (originally the Symbol MiniScan MS954) is a compact fixed-mount 1D laser scanner for building into kiosks, ATMs, vending and lottery machines, turnstiles, medical and laboratory instruments and automated production lines. Its bright 650 nm laser scans 104 times per second and delivers premium linear scanning on all types of 1D barcodes – including poorly printed and low-contrast symbols – from near contact to over 88.9 cm. A configurable scan angle (47° wide or 35° narrow), software-controlled or manual triggering and a built-in RS-232 interface make integration simple, and at 25.9 × 49 × 58.7 mm and just 47 g it is one of the smallest and lightest fixed-mount scanners available. This version, MS-954-I000R, is supplied as the scanner only – the RS-232 interface cable and the 5 V power supply must be ordered separately.

💡 No stand needed – the MS954 is designed to be built into your device, machine or line and fixed via the mounting holes in its housing. Host systems can control the scanner over the simple serial interface (SSI) protocol.
