    Fixes

    1. Memor K20 or K25 won't switch onBlack screen after pressing Power

CauseThe battery is too low to start, or the system has frozen.

    Fix

    1. Charge the terminal for a while, or fit a charged spare battery.
    2. Hold Power for at least 4 seconds to switch on.
    3. If the screen stays black although the battery is charged, hold Power for at least 10 seconds. Datalogic calls this a force restart.
    2. Battery doesn't chargeLED flashes red or stays off

CauseFlashing red means a charge fault. No LED usually means no power.

    Fix

    1. Use the Datalogic USB-C cable (94A050044) and power supply (94ACC0383).
    2. In the Single Slot Dock, check that the dock is powered and the terminal sits fully down. Remove the dock adapter when the terminal is in its protective boot.
    3. Remove the battery, check the contacts, refit it and lock the cover.
    4. Charge at room temperature. In a hot, closed space the battery can stop charging to protect itself.
    5. If a spare battery charges normally, the first battery is faulty or worn. If no battery charges, contact us.
    3. Slow charging or short battery lifeBattery empty before the end of the shift

CauseUsing the terminal while it charges slows charging. Radios, the screen and heat shorten battery life, and batteries wear with age.

    Fix

    1. Charge while the terminal is not in use.
    2. Switch off radios you don't need, such as Bluetooth or mobile data.
    3. Shorten the sleep time under Settings › Datalogic Settings › Power & Sources (Suspend Timeout) or under Settings › Display › Screen timeout.
    4. Datalogic recommends replacing the battery once a year for the best performance. Battery Manager shows the battery's health and charge cycles.
    4. Scan key does nothingNo red light when you press a scan key

CauseScanner or triggers off, or keyboard input locked.

    Fix

    1. Open Settings › Datalogic Settings › Scanner & Decoder › Scanner Options and check that Enable Scanner is on.
    2. Open Settings › Datalogic Settings › Keyboard & Touch. Check that the Triggers are enabled and that Lock Keyboard Input is off.
    3. If only one scan key fails, check whether it has been remapped (see Fix 7).
    4. Test in a notes app. If scanning works there, check the scanner settings of your business app.
    5. Barcode isn't readRed light on, no beep, no green LED

CauseBarcode type off, wrong distance or a damaged label.

    Fix

    1. Hold small, dense barcodes close to the scan window and large barcodes further away. Datalogic gives a reading range of 4 to 90 cm depending on the barcode.
    2. Clean the scan window with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water or 70 % isopropyl alcohol.
    3. Check that the barcode type is enabled under Settings › Datalogic Settings › Scanner & Decoder › Symbology Settings.
    6. Scan works but no data in the appBeep and green LED, empty field or missing Enter

CauseKeyboard wedge off, an input mode the app doesn't accept, or no suffix.

    Fix

    1. Open Settings › Datalogic Settings › Scanner & Decoder › Wedge and switch on Enable Keyboard Wedge.
    2. If Keyboard Wedge Only on Focus is on, tap the text field first so it has the cursor.
    3. Try each Keyboard Wedge Input Mode: Text Injection, Key Pressure and Commit Text.
    4. For a missing Enter or Tab, open Settings › Datalogic Settings › Scanner & Decoder › Formatting › Standard Formatting, tap Label Suffix and use Add special to add the character.
    5. If the Enter or Tab arrives too early in Text Injection or Commit Text mode, increase Non-printable key event delay under Wedge. It adds a pause before and after non-printable characters.
    7. Keypad doesn't respond as expectedKeys dead or doing something else

CauseKeyboard input is locked, or keys were remapped by an administrator or an app.

    Fix

    1. Open Settings › Datalogic Settings › Keyboard & Touch and switch off Lock Keyboard Input.
    2. Under Key Remapping, tap View all remapped keys to see what has changed. Key Mapping Reset restores the standard layout.
    3. The number keys also type letters by pressing repeatedly (multitap). If letters appear too fast or too slowly, adjust Multitap Delay.
    8. No Wi-Fi or mobile dataNot connected, or connection drops

CauseWrong saved password or Wi-Fi settings, or on the K25 the SIM or APN.

    Fix

    1. Open Settings › Network & Internet › Internet, forget the network and join it again with the correct password.
    2. Check the band and power save options under Settings › Datalogic Settings › Wi-Fi.
    3. Memor K25: check that the nano SIM sits in the right-hand slot under the battery, printed side up, and ask your operator for the APN values.
    4. As a last step, use the network reset below and set up the connection again.

    Restart and reset options

Try these in order. The first four keep your apps and data.

    Option How What it does
Restart Hold Power, tap Restart Restarts Android
Force restart Hold Power for at least 10 seconds Restarts a frozen terminal
Reset Datalogic settings Tap Reset device configuration at the bottom of Settings › Datalogic Settings Datalogic Settings back to defaults
Network reset Settings › System › Reset options › Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth › Reset settings Clears all network settings
Enterprise reset Settings › System › Reset options › Enterprise reset › Erase all data Erases data except the enterprise folder and configuration
Factory reset Settings › System › Reset options › Erase all data (factory reset) › Erase all data Erases everything
    Important

A factory reset deletes all apps and data; on managed terminals, ask your IT team first. If Settings won't open, use Recovery Mode: with the terminal off, hold the left trigger, press Power and let go of Power as soon as the terminal vibrates, still holding the left trigger. Move with the left trigger, select with the right trigger, and choose Reboot system now when you are done.

The user manual is on Datalogic's technical documents page. For first-time setup, see the Memor K20 and K25 setup guide. All guides: Memor K20 · Memor K25.
