The Newland MT93 Standard Plus and the Zebra TC22 are both rugged Android 13 terminals for retail, warehouse and logistics work, and neither is better across the board. The TC22 has the larger, sharper and brighter screen, IP68 sealing, a lower weight and the option of a long-range scan engine. The MT93 Standard Plus adds 4G mobile data, GPS and a wider temperature range, and comes with a 2-year warranty and a charger, case and screen protector in the box. Day-to-day differences
Scanning setup. On the MT93 you set the output mode, Enter suffix and barcode types in the Quick Settings app, see the MT93 scanner settings guide. On the TC22 the same is done with DataWedge profiles, see the DataWedge setup guide. Both can type scans into any app as keystrokes.
Mobile data. The Wi-Fi-only TC22 has no SIM slot. If you need mobile data from Zebra, the TC27 is the matching model, see TC22 vs TC27. Every MT93 version has 4G.
Charging. The MT93 charges over USB-C with the adapter from the box. The TC22 needs a Zebra USB-C cable and power supply or a cradle, ordered separately.
