Datalogic PowerScan PM9600 Barcode Scanner (PM9600-HP910RB)

The Datalogic PowerScan PM9600 is a rugged cordless 2D handheld imager from Datalogic's PowerScan 9600 series, built for warehouses, manufacturing and logistics. It communicates with its base station through the Datalogic STAR Cordless System™ – a two-way narrow-band radio with a range of up to 150 m (433 MHz) or 230 m (910 MHz) in open air – and charges wirelessly (inductively) in the base, so there are no charging contacts to wear out. A removable 3350 mAh battery lasts for about 80,000 reads per charge, the scanner withstands 50 drops from 2.5 m, is sealed to IP65 and IP67 and comes with a 3-year Datalogic warranty. This version, PM9600-HP910RB, has High Performance (HP) optics – a longer reach of up to about 2.4 m, high-density codes down to 2.5 mil and Digimarc barcodes.

It is the model without a display – a straightforward trigger-only scanner. It uses the 910 MHz STAR radio – the version for North America (USA and Canada); for use in Europe, choose a 433 MHz version. It is supplied as the scanner with battery only – the base station, interface cable and power supply are not included.

• Clear good-read feedback – Datalogic 3GL™ (Three Green Lights), the Green Spot projected onto the code, a loud adjustable beeper and vibration confirm every read, even in noisy environments.
• Motionix™ motion sensing – the scanner senses when it is picked up and is instantly ready to read.
• Modular base station – the BC9600-series base/charger takes plug-in connection modules for USB and RS-232 (CM9630/CM9631) or Ethernet, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET (CM9680/CM9681); free Datalogic Aladdin configuration tool, OPOS/JavaPOS utilities and EASEOFCARE service plans.

How to read the part numbers: SR, HP and AR stand for Standard Range, High Performance and Auto Range optics; -D models have a display with 4 keys and -DK models a display with a 16-key keypad; 433 or 910 is the radio frequency (433 MHz for Europe, 910 MHz for North America); R/RB means the removable battery is included. Versions ending in K10 are USB kits and versions ending in K20 RS-232 kits with the BC9630 base and a power supply, K12 is a USB kit with the USB-only BC9620 base, and versions without a K suffix are the scanner only.
