The Honeywell Thor VM1A is a compact, rugged Android vehicle-mounted computer for forklifts and other industrial vehicles in warehouses, manufacturing, ports and intermodal operations. It pairs an 8" WXGA touchscreen with a full integrated 64-key QWERTY keyboard, 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC, built on Honeywell's Mobility Edge platform with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and IP66 sealing. ⚠️ Please note: the Thor VM1A is supplied without vehicle dock, power cable and mount. To install and power it, please order separately: the Honeywell VM1001VMCRADLE standard dock (integrated 10–60 V DC power supply, DC power cable included) or the Honeywell VM3001VMCRADLE enhanced dock with extra USB ports and Ethernet; a RAM mount kit such as the Honeywell VM1002BRKTKIT (round base) or the Honeywell VM1005BRKTKIT (clamp base); the Honeywell VM2276ANTENNA set of two dual-band Wi-Fi antennas (required for this external-antenna version); optionally, for AC mains use, the Honeywell VM1302PWRSPLY power supply with the Honeywell VM1078CABLE adapter cable and a C13 power cord (e.g. Honeywell 77900507E, UK).
💡 Useful extras: the Honeywell 9000313PWRSPLY DC/DC converter for electric trucks with 50–150 V systems; a spare UPS battery (Honeywell VM1376BATTERY); the Honeywell VM1012BRACKET adapter bracket to reuse existing VC5090 mounts; a scanner holder for the vehicle (Honeywell VMHOLDER2K or Honeywell VMHOLDER4K); a Honeywell Edge Service Gold plan (SVCVM1A-SG3N (3 years) or SVCVM1A-SG5N (5 years)).

- Outdoor display with capacitive multi-touch – 900-nit sunlight-readable screen with a PCAP touch panel and hardened glass for yards, docks and ports.
- Integrated 64-key QWERTY keyboard – full backlit keyboard with number pad and 10/20 function keys; all keys except modifiers are remappable, with ANSI and 5250 emulation key labels.
- Smart Dock – lift the computer off its dock in seconds without touching the cabling, so units can move between trucks when a vehicle fails or workloads change.
- Field-replaceable front panel – in-house staff can swap the touchscreen and keyboard on site; a low-cost spare panel replaces a spare computer.
- Mobility Edge platform – Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core 2.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM / 32 GB Flash, microSD up to 512 GB; Android 8 upgradable through Android 13 with extended security updates.
- External antenna connectors – 2 × SMA connectors for external Wi-Fi antennas (whip or remote antennas, sold separately) for the best coverage in large warehouses, freezers and yards; 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC.
- Built for forklifts – IP66 sealed, vibration-tested to MIL-STD-810F and shock-tested to SAE-J1455, −20 °C to +50 °C; isolated 10–60 V DC input via the dock and an integrated UPS battery for about 30 minutes without vehicle power.
- Ready for enterprise software – Honeywell Terminal Emulator, Enterprise Browser, Launcher and lockdown, provisioning tools and support for third-party MDM solutions.
