The Newland WD2 (Nwear by Newland) is a compact Bluetooth® wearable scanner worn on the back of the hand: it clicks magnetically onto an Integrated Trigger Strap with the scan trigger between thumb and forefinger, so both hands stay free for picking, carrying and packing. Its megapixel 2D imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes – even high-density or damaged ones. Bluetooth 5.0 gives up to 80 m range, and the 670 mAh battery lasts up to 10 hours. This version, WD2-BS50-MR, has the Mid Range (MR) engine with a red laser dot aimer – for larger codes at longer distances, up to 3.5 m. It is supplied as the scanner only – the trigger strap and a charging cable or cradle are ordered separately.

💡 How it connects: the WD2 pairs directly with your smartphone, tablet, mobile computer or PC via Bluetooth 5.0 and types scanned data like a keyboard (HID) – no base station needed. With the Newland WD1 wrist-mounted Android computer, it pairs simply by scanning an on-screen barcode. For a Windows PC without Bluetooth, add the Bluetooth USB dongle (Newland NLS-DG-R). Out of range? Batch mode keeps your scans in memory and uploads them later.
🔌 Charging: the WD2 docks magnetically for charging – with the magnetic USB cable (CBLMP100U) it charges from a PC USB port or a USB power adapter (Newland ADP710); the CD50 2-slot charging cradle charges two scanners at once, and up to five cradles can be linked to charge ten scanners from a single power supply (Newland AD60-D-M).
