Zebra DS55 Mounted Scanner (DS5502-SR4RS71MAZE)

The Zebra DS55 (DS5502) is a tiny fixed-mount 2D imager that puts Zebra scanning performance wherever space is tight – under or on the counter, on the register, inside self-service and ticketing kiosks, contactless pickup lockers, boarding gates and light-manufacturing workstations. At just 3.0 × 5.6 × 7.2 cm and 65 g, its 1-megapixel sensor reads 1D and 2D barcodes and OCR text – on labels and even on dimly lit phone screens – in hands-free presentation or trigger mode, and the flat face can be flush-mounted for a clean, embedded look. Every DS55 supports both USB and RS232 and is backed by a 3-year Zebra warranty. This version, DS5502-SR4RS71MAZE, is the RS232 kit for EMEA – the black scanner with a straight 2.1 m RS232 cable (DB9 female) and a 5 V power supply with EU and UK plugs.

• Easy DS457 replacement – similar dimensions and matching mounting-hole locations make the DS55 a drop-in upgrade; the flat face can be flush-mounted for a clean, embedded look.
• Flexible mounting – universal ¼″-20 camera thread for third-party clamps, poles, swivels and wall mounts, plus Zebra's magnetic 3-in-1 mount and gooseneck stand.
• Eye-friendly light, easy aiming – soft warm-white illumination and a green LED aimer that is easy to see in any lighting – ideal where red light or laser aimers are a concern.
• Feedback you can hear – good-decode LEDs and an adjustable beeper twice as loud as the DS457's, so users can confirm a scan even when the scanner is built into a kiosk or locker.
• USB and RS232 in every scanner – USB Certified and powered over the USB cable; for RS232 use the RS232 cable CBL-R10755-01 together with a 5 V power supply such as the PWR-WUA5V4W04C – if your host migrates from RS232 to USB, just swap the cable.
• Built to last – IP54 sealing against dust and spills, multiple 1.5 m drops to concrete and an operating range of −20 °C to +50 °C.
